In 2014, the 2930 team was contacted by the local chapter of Extra Life to create a Dallas-focused campaign. Based on the creative provided, the team caught the attention of the national Children’s Miracle Network office. The Be a Hero display campaign was featured on pop culture sites such as Nerdist, Kotaku, Polygon, IGN, Giant Bomb, and Geek & Sundry, and helped raise over $14M for Children’s Miracle Network in 2014-2015. During the display campaign, participation in the Extra Life gaming marathon also increased by nearly 10% from the previous year. Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network still use the creative, 2930 Creative received multiple awards, and the campaign was named one of the best display ad campaigns by Hubspot in 2015.
